Do you plan to seat suppliers (photographers, bartenders, djs) among your wedding guests? We’re having our dinner and reception under a tent at our home (not a formal hotel set up) and I plan to seat the suppliers with our guests for our dinner.
What do you think? How does that normally work? Do they just sit down with everyone else or do they sit down when they can, or what?

I’ve heard this is a question you should ask each specific vendor.
Sometimes they want a real "break" – aka they want to get away for 15-30 min. Others (usually photographers) want to be around for any/every possible scene, so sitting with the guests might be what they prefer.

I know in most of my contracts, it is specified where they are to eat. Most say that they need a table away from guests and reserved only for them….I am putting my band and photographer together under the same tent, but kind of apart from the party and by the band’s setup.

if you are at a venue that does a lot of weddings, just ask the coordinator there – they probably have a place for the vendors to eat. I think they generally like to take a break while the guests are eating and eat somewhere separately…our venue put out a buffet for them in another room….
