Try Wedding Angels in Roswell.

They have dresses ranging in prices and will price match to other salons.

I purchased my dress there during a trunk show and got an even better price.

Another place to look/try on dresses is Bride Beautiful.

They have a policy on amount of dresses to try on, so you may need multiple appointments.  Even if you find THE dress there, I would still recommend going to Wedding Angels to purchase.  They have really great customer service and Bride Beautiful can be hit or miss.

This also applies to your bridesmaid’s dresses as well.

I bought my dress at Wedding Angels and was VERY pleased. Not only has the service been great and VERY friendly so far, but their price for my gown was nearly $500 less than it was at the first place I saw it, and they were having a promotion that landed me 20% off.

They’re a great little store with a LOT of gown options and very friendly salespeople. Give them a try!

Good luck!

I would highly recommend La Raine’s on North Highland. They’ve got a really great range of dresses, pretty much all under $3k, with a huge room for dresses only under $1k. I tried on some great things there and my hair stylist purchased her gown from the under $1k room.

Not the kind of prices I’d expect from a boutique in the Highlands, but it’s fantastic!

I have heard of Laraine’s also.  Wedding Angels was mentioned to me as well.  You can call around to find out when trunk shows/sales will happen too.  If you’re game enough and a risk-taker you could try "the running of the brides" for a killer deal at Filene’s Basement.

I’m not a risk-taker but very very cautious.  I’ve been in the Demetrios salon and loved it also.

I’m going back in April for some serious searching as August will be my tentative month for us tying the knot!  We’re going to do it in August hopefully either on or the weekend closest to the 70th wedding anniversary of my grandparents!

I used Affordable Bridal in Buford.  In addition to what they have in the store they were able to order my Maggie dress for less than any of the online options.  The store isn’t fancy, but they were super friendly and had sample dress in sizes 2-22.  For someone on a budget they are worth looking at.

We were asked if there were any stores that carry evening wear in Cumming, GA and I honestly haven’t found anything here yet?  I have lived here for about 2.5 yrs in this town and have yet to see a Bridal store.

I’m planning to try Formally Yours in Lilburn — several friends have gotten wedding and Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses there. Apparently they like to offer you a discount off the purchase price if you buy the dress your first day there.

However, after reading this board, I may be checking into Wedding Angels as well.

@ padiserene and driftslikesmoke — At Wedding Angels, were there nice dresses between $400-$800? (I’m not a frilly kind of girl — so not much lace or embroidery/beading for me!)

@DC Anna – My dress ended up being about $800, but that was during their anniversary sale (in September, I think). My sales associate was Kaylan, and she was amazing. I told her what I was looking for and that my budget was small (I was determined to spend under $1000 for my full bridal look… so far so good!), and she was very very helpful, understanding, and non-judgemental.

Wedding Angels had a lot of Anjolique and Casablanca gowns, which are more reasonably priced, and they were also MUCH cheaper on their prices for THOSE gowns than other salons where I saw the same dresses. For comparison, I’d found my gown at two other salons, both of which had it listed for about $1500-1700, and at Wedding Angels, the ORIGINAL price was around $1050, I want to say. Then I got 20% off of that.

I’d highly recommend their salon, based on the customer service I’ve received so far!
