I’ve never really been big on lingerie and if my bra/underwear match, I’ll call that a huge success story in the underclothes department. But for the honeymoon, I’d like to actually have some stuff thats just for fun sexy time 😉 Daytime use is not what I’m going for, so it doesn’t need to be especially supportive or my correct band size or anything.
I ordered a bunch of stuff from lingerie diva and I’ll be sending half of it back. Its really cheaply made (which I knew going in….when something is $12, its not going to be the highest quality) and the one size fits all that they have on most products was not working for me. (Some of it is staying though.)
So where do you all buy your lingerie? Whats your style?
I should mention that I feel ridiculous in anything overly frilly or colorful. I tried to buy a few “bridal” things and I just felt like an impostor. Victoria’s Secret just doesnt do it for me. I can’t get past the expressions of most models online like Fredricks, but I would prefer online shopping rather than trekking to a mall.
Where do you like to buy?

Macy’s has always been my friend You can find some good deals, they have a good selection, and *I* think I always have good luck?? I have a SIL who just ADORES lingerie shopping though, so I call her whenever I need something fun and she finds me something fabulous!

Target! I got a super cute set on clearance for $5.99. I mailed it to Darling Husband while he’s away… 🙂

I go to la senza but have just discovered Aerie and was instantly in love.

I ordered some items from Victorias Secret online. I agree that there wasn’t much there that I was crazy about. Hoping to see some more suggestions! I did browse over some things at eberjay.com, but ultimately went for cheaper stuff for now.

I mostly go to http://www.glamorose.com but it is mostly inexpensive and one size. I have gotten a few things that were pretty good quality for what I paid. I would stay away form the one size options, and spend more. It all seems to work out

I just go to Victoria’s Secret, since really, the stuff doesnt stay on long LOL

I know you said that you prefer shopping online, but I had an excellent experience recently at Nordstrom. I went in pretty schleppy in yoga clothes but the sales associate I had was phenomenal and helped me pick out a bunch of great stuff for my boudoir shoot without breaking the bank. She was like a personal shopper and helped me with sizing and matching and overall, spent probably 1.5 hours with me. I didn’t have a set budget per say, but she didn’t only show me the pricey La Perla stuff, which was very considerate.
They also have a price adjustment policy (within 14 days technically, but if you are a few days off, the sales associate will probably still adjust it for you) and the online and instore return policy is great. I think the online site even has free shipping and I like being able to return everything from the online store in a store, unlike VS. I’ve never had a great experience at VS and they are just too pushy with the VS card, which I absolutely don’t want.
There’s a decent selection of markdowns going on (online and instore) right now for a lot of cute items so it’s worth checking out. Pricingwise, I personally found Nordstorm and VS to be pretty similar and the Nordstrom stuff (being that they have a bunch of brands) fit a lot better and even my Fiance thought so. The VS stuff I’ve found is usually only extremely cheap when it is the semi-annual sale and even then, I usually find that in-store given that I live near a lot of them.

I like Nordstroms personally. I also tend to spend a little bit more on pieces because I find that the cheap stuff tends to look quite cheap. I’d rather pay it bit more for it to look nice and last.

I’m a 32C and it’s not easy finding lingerie that fits. Usually it’s Victoria’s Secret or outlet stores since they have a mish mash of everything. Otherwise I have to shop online, which I’m not a fan of.

lingerie is a serious addiction on mine! La Perla is what I die and save up for

@harleyq: Me too! Its nearly impossible. I find 32C @ Aerie, but they are all heavily lined or padded and not exactly sexy. Great for everyday, not so great for fun .
@becauseilovehim: Thats what I’m finding. The ones with actual sizes seem to work pretty well, whereas the o/s are hit or miss.
