I shop at Stop & Shop, which is a large supermarket in New England. We do have a super Walmart in the area, but their selection is much smaller.

We go to a Farmers Market for produce and save a TON of money that way. We always manage to be shocked when they ring us up. We go to Trader Joes for cheap wine and some prepared meals we like. We go to Shoprite for basics like egg/milk/cereal.

I shop at either Safeway or Albertsons, because they’re close to home. We have several super WalMarts, Sams Club, and Costco around.  We have a Sams Club card and go there once or twice a year for bulk items.  I love the prices at WalMart, but I can’t hardly stand to shop there.  Too many people and children running wild for me!

ETA: We don’t have Kroger here.  We have Fry’s which sells Kroger brand items, but I don’t know if that’s connected or not?

In St. Louis, we don’t have Kroger stores anymore.  I typically go to Shop-n-Save or Aldi.  Aldi definitely has the best deals, but Shop-n-Save has more of a variety.  We go to Sam’s for milk, soda, most frozen foods, and paper products.  I try to avoid Wal-Mart for multiple reasons.

Definitely don’t have a Kroger here. I usually buy groceries at grocery stores. Super walmarts scare me.

I shop at my local Safeway/Albertsons/Fred Meyer’s grocery store.

I do also shop at Costco about every month or two.

I do save money at Costco if I’m careful with what I buy. Not everything in Costco is cheap. When I do buy things, it can save me money buying in bulk.

Safeway is the closest to me so that is my go to store if I need something quick and it’s on my way home from work.

I have a Fred Meyers that is about 5 mins further down the road that is sort of out of the way.  I have noticed their prices are better than Safeway or Albertsons. I try to go to Fred Meyers now because of the prices. Plus, it carries everything like clothes to home improvement. It’s like a Walmart.

I do shop at Walmart but not really for groceries. I don’t think things are as fresh at walmart when compared to grocery stores. Also, my Target just started carrying groceries, which is convienient when I’m there. Anyway, when it comes to groceries, I go to the stores listed above (Safeway/Albertsons/Fred Meyer’s).

Publix. I don’t shop at Walmart and the Winn-Dixie here is disgusting. Sam’s club is on the other side of town, so it’s not worth the time.

Waitrose is my go to store here in the UK.

When I lived in NYC it was Food Emporium.

In NC it was Kroger or Piggly Wiggly when we were in Myrtle Beach.

In CA it was Vons or Ralphs.

Each region has it’s own chain grocery stores.

Shaws, Roche Bros, Hannaford or Market basket.  All 4 big chains are near either me or my husbands work, so I do a quick check of the 4 circulars every week too see which one has the best deals for the week and we’ll go to that one.
