Walmart and Kroger over here. They’re comparable on price, once you factor in the savings from the Kroger Plus Card, but without it, Walmart definitely has the jump on savings. But the Kroger employees actually know what customer service is, and are extremely helpful and courteous. The opposite is true for Walmart.

Trader Joe and Sprouts weekly.  Ralphs/Vons depending on Sales.  Costco once month for food and every other week for gas.

We’re about evenly distributed between Ralph’s, Trader Joe’s, and the farmers’ market.

I find walmart to be the best price wise. I can enough groceries for a few lunches, five dinners, snack foods, and drinks for under 100 bucks. I can get 2 meals a few snacks for over 60 bucks at safeway. While i love shopping at safeway for their customer service, I do like walmarts prices, wayyyyyy better.

We don’t have a Kroger here, mostly Food Lion, Harris Teeter, and Lowes Food.  We shop mostly at Costco and go to Food Lion for things that we don’t need to buy in bulk.

I like Target but we only have one here and it’s tiny and carries very few groceries.

Here at school I shop Walmart, just because it takes so long to get food up here and their stuff is usually a day fresher/lasts a bit longer. Once I live down with Mr.ND (it’s only an hour or so away, but it’s more of a ‘major city’ for around here) then we’ll hit the local supermarkets more and only get pantry staples and nonparishables at Walmart. I LOVE the farmer’s markets in the fall, I get as much there as I can when I’m around.

Market Basket – definitely the cheapest.

I go to Shaw’s for produce, and sometimes I go to Trader Joes for other stuff.

(*side note* I live in New England)

    Market Basket for most things.

Trader Joe’s for meat and some specialty items.  The farmer’s market for eggs, meat, and some produce. Stop&Shop if I need to make a quick run and Market Basket is too far.  Aldi for staples, special buys, and cheese.
