Do you host Thanksgiving? Do you go to a family member’s house?
My Mom does Thanksgiving every year. It is “her” holiday to host. We usually have Out of Town guests and it turns into a Thanksgiving weekend. Fun times!

When I was young, we’d always go up to my Aunt & Uncle’s place.
This year, Darling Husband and I are having thanksgiving by ourselves. So I’m cooking a turkey for two… we’ll be eating a LOT of leftovers!

DH’s family descends on his aunt’s cabin on the Cheasapeake Bay for Thanksgiving. Well, every other year DH’s brothers and their families join the rest of us there. On years they aren’t there, they spend it with their in-laws, and then come down for Christmas.
Darling Husband would be horrified by the suggestion that we have Thanksgiving anywhere else but the cabin, and I agree. It’s a beautiful place, and I always come home relaxed and recharged.

This is mine & my husband’s first married Thanksgiving. But last year we was living together during Thanksgiving & we went to my parents house then his the day after. Before we lived together he would always come to my parents house & eat.
This year we are going to his parents (well his mamaw’s house with his mom & all the rest of the family) from 12-4PM then to my parents house the rest of the evening as they start dinner late. 🙂

This year I’m spending Thanksgiving with my fiance’s parents and Christmas with mine. Next year we’ll switch holidays with both families. Hopefully when we start having kids, the family will come to us.

We will be doing it at “our ” ( my MIL’s) house!

We switch it back and forth between her parents and my parents. We’re currently figuring out how to split the holidays beacuse we are 12-24 hours from all of our parents.

we always go to my Grams! its a pot luck, we all bring some food. However, Grams makes the turkey, homemade noodles and mashed taters!! She broke her back two weeks ago so my mom and aunt are cooking so I am thinking there will not be any homemade noodles or taters this year 🙁

We always have Thanksgiving at FI’s parents’ house. Growing up it was at my aunt’s house.
I am hoping to start hosting it at our place after we’re married. 🙂

Ugh we family hop. We have dinner with my parents tomorrow (Wednesday) night, Thanksgiving with DH’s dad’s side at his uncle’s house on Thursday and then his mom’s side is celebrating on Saturday. We’ll be eating all week long!!

Usually DH’s grandmothers’ house – my fam all goes too far out of town for us to go, so we celebrate it with his fam. This year she’s having surgery and there’s not really an event to go to, so we’re going to do it with friends in our city!

I’ve never hosted Thanksgiving. However, I’ve never had any set in stone place that I’ve gone to year after year. Every year is a different location for the most part.

It is always different for us. We have no set holiday schedule yet. The only thing that stays the same every year is we are stuck in the car for most of it.
This year I’m going to my dad’s while my Fiance works.
