You can buy them at a thrift store or look on Craigslist .25-.50 each sometimes but if you buy them brand new it will cost a lot more

Craft stores like Michaels and Hobby Lobby have them, but I think Wal-Mart is cheaper.

Walmart is pretty cheap, I’ve seen them there.  Also the dollar tree has them by me.  Or you can try the other “dollar store” (really more like the $5 store)

Garage sales and places like goodwill!

Also ask around I asked my mom and she collected 10 boxes of them for me from friends, family, and herself!

how much time do you have? Clasico spagetti sauce uses mason jars. Soak the labels off and use a brillow pad to get the rest of the sticky stuff off…. Ask family members to eat a little sauce and youll be all set… if not i would head to walmart or even ebay

When I bought mason jars to actually use as jars for jam I bought them at my local grocery store (Publix) and they were a lot cheaper than $1.50-1.75 a cup. That’s totally taking advantage of the fact that people want to use them in their weddings now. Now we use them as drinking glasses because they are very cheap to replace if they break.

I would suggest waiting until June/July-hotter months to get them. I know that will be only a few months from your wedding, but it will probabaly be a lot cheaper. Most places dont sell them year round (as they are usually a seasonal item for putting up stuff for winter months). I think WalMart sells those ball plastic jars all year, but the big ones that say Mason will be found when its warm out.

I think the mason jar wedding trend has DEFINITELY picked up–and retailers know that so they’re pricing them a lot more than what they’re worth. Lucky for me I live in the south and we’ve had them all my life, so most of ours for the wedding will come from relatives, family members, and other people we know. I think I bought one case for about $7 back in the summer but that was only because I wanted to experiment and needed a few to do so. Whatever you choose.. Good Luck!

Just email everyone you know (and feel comfortable asking) to be on the lookout for them.  I did that and now i have hundreds.  Probably around 400 or more and I am not sure what I’ll do with all of them! And the cost: $0!

People want to help, and people have helped me find way nicer ones than I have the time to scope out (in Grad school full time).  I even have some awesome vintage, blue jars too!
