I guess we are one of the odd balls we spend a little over 6k a month including a 2k mortgage.
student loans: 1200
lunch money: 150
car insurance : 100
cell phone: 150
misc bills: 400
health insurance 300
plus what whatever we do for entertainment etc.
We live in NJ in the suburbs in central,nj but work in the city.

I answered between 3-4k. I honestly don’t know what Fiance pays in regards to his debt.
$125 electric equalizer pmt
$ 80 water, trash, sewer, recycling
$340 Verizon for 3 cell phones 3 tablets plus service in Mexico
$ 30 gas for the home
$200 vehicle pmt
$150 gas for vehicles – I drive an older suburban and he car pools
$ 90 for girls’ after school program
$ 60 for girls’ bowling league.
These are our joint debts you could say. I have no idea on anything else. I am a Stay-At-Home Mom of a 7, 6 & 4 year old niece that I have custody of. He makes enough for me to stay home and pay the bills. We also spend a lot on eating out That’s our “thing” and also our weakness.

Ours in NE varies greatly depending on whether Darling Husband is working on the road or not. If he’s on the road for a whole month, it’s around 3k, but that’s paying for a hotel, travel, and eating out a lot. If he’s home we are less than 1k. We have no mortgage or car payments as they are all paid off.

We live in Ontario, Canada and I am hoping once we move in together in March, our expenses will be less than $1500 a month, because we’re both going to be nearly unemployed.

Well, I should add that we have two older cars (2000 and 2002 Hondas), and actually we’re taking off collision auto insurance, so it’ll go down to $105 haha 😛 Also we’re in a one bedroom condo, so not a huge amount of electricity being used thankfully. Those prices you mentioned are crazy though!
