I shop at online boutiques. I follow a ton on Instagram & shop that way. I rarely ever shop at an actual store or mall any more

withluv :  Snobby much? At least you’re open about it. No shit that nicer clothes tend to fit better and last longer, you ever consider that *gasp* maybe not everyone has the same amount of money as you do to prioritize clothing so high? Holy crap, this isn’t a fashion forum.

To answer the OP, I tend buy my dresses/nicer clothing on ebay. I love a specific label that isn’t sold in stores, so I scour second-hand sales to see what I can find. My work clothes (boring jeans and t-shirts since dressing up isn’t allowed) are almost strictly Goodwill/thrift hunts.

When I need to buy something new or can’t find it anywhere else, GARAGE and Target are generally my go-tos in person. Online I really like Modcloth and a few Etsy shops I favor for jewelry.

withluv :  I’m not sure why you are knocking thrift shops in your post, lumping it together with the likes of Target and Old Navy. I guess it depends on your location, but I’ve gotten high-end quality clothing from thrift shops that have lasted me 5+ years so far.

Also, a lot about longlasting clothing is the way it is put together, not necessarily all about the fabric choice and price. I got my first pair of gym pants from the dollar store since I wasn’t sure I would like going to the gym (lol!). Well, turns out I did like it. They are like brand new still going on more than 3 years. It’s because of the way it is put together, even though the fabric is much cheaper quality.

TwinkleBoss :  I love etsy too! So many hidden gems there. I love the hunt with it.

I’m plus size ad do most of my shopping online. Torrid, simply be, Walmart, target, Kohl’s, Macy’s. Honestly, if I see something cute and it’s on a good sale and I need it, I buy it.

For professional wear clothes – the Outlet ( Ann Taylor, Banana republic), Belk, Nordstorm.

Zuiliy is my favourite online channel.

For after work wear – Lily Pulitzer strictly.
