I am in the beginning stages of wedding planning. I have my dress but I am so clueless as to what vendors should be picked and paid for first. I have interviewed 3 stationary companies and are waiting back for quotes and I have a ceremony and reception location. But what to you bees think I should book this early? Photographer? Caterer? Florist? Etc. How would you arrange the vendor pickings?

If you are finished with the guest list and budget then I think the venue is the next step. Many venues won’t let you bring in your own caterer and some venues even have agreements with other vendors so you can get deals by booking with cooperating vendors.

Venue, caterer and close after photographers and Djs, I am getting married in 2012 and alot of the people I talked to were already booking into 2014. I would Get ALL vendors booked asap then just relax intel the final details!
