@Missbubbly:  I took over one of MIL’s spare rooms (their house had 4 unused bedrooms, while I live in a small 2br with a roommate). I don’t think she really enjoyed it, but hey, we both made due with the arrangement. Haha.

Biggest DIY- hmm, I’d say my brooch bouquet was a heck of a DIY, but I loved it. I did lots of DIYs, but had over a year and a half to space them out, so it wasn’t so bad.

Happy planning! And yes, post lots of photos!

We stored it all in our dinning room. Our dinning table disappeared at about 3 months out from our wedding and I sadly, only last week FINALLY put everything away. The dinning table become the crafts table and we stored all the finished product on the floor in the room.

We made the table numbers, favors (stuck 2 labels on a candy jar), and all the paper stuff like invitations programs, etc.

I have an entire closet that Dh calls ‘the scary closet’ becuase of its unorganizedness. I am curently living in an efficiency and we will be moving in to a 1 bedroom appt in a few weeks so there will be no more space there than there is where I am now. Organization is the key. My dress has by far been the biggest DIY nightmare Ive had so far.

I’m not to that point, but I do some crafts. I outgrew my little Caboodles knock-off and then finally took over the empty space in the living room ottoman. It’s one of those long ones with tops that raise up to quite a bit of storage. Right now, I also use it to store my the meaningful stuffed animals from my childhood. But they’ll come out if I need more crafts storage.

My major DIY projects didn’t require storing: The invites came & went fairly quickly and my flowers & party favours were all done in my dining room the week before the wedding. Once we put everything together & packed them for transport, they literally took up all spare floor space in the entire apartment but by then it was time to deliver them & they were gone.

Oh gosh my computer room has bunk beds in it and the top bed is full of wedding stuff purchased over the last 2 years. I have 2 big bins full of my DIY stuff that I have completed and that are still to be completed and materials to start my next ones… it’s filling up and soon I won’t have any room and will have to start filling up the basement with stuff lol

I have no storage space – there is one closet in my house, and it’s 3 feet wide.  All my DIY’s are in a clear plastic bin, in the middle of the living room.

My dining room also seems to have turned into wedding central.  I just cleared off the table that was full of centerpiece ideas so I can start in invite.  The finished products are all over the floor and slowly making its way into our living room.  Its driving my Fiance crazy.  Lol

We’re lucky and have extra room (currently my DIY stuff is all in boxes in a closet in our home office, and I stored teh two boxes that have our lanterns in the closet in teh spare bedroom). I do also have a bunch of stuff spread out on our kitchen table. If we didnt’ have the extra room here, i’d beg my mom to let me store stuff at her house. the tissue paper flowers I’ve started to make (and since I’m stuck at home w/ ovarian cysts and I’m getting more work done there!) I need to be careful with. I got some old boxes (like from moving) and just try to gently place them in there.

I have a large Rubbermaid container in the corner of the ktichen & the overflow is on a small table beside it and the kitchen table has become craft central!! LoL

my biggest DIY … I’d say invitations or my pearl & crystal bouquet. (I’ve enlisted MrN to cut out all the paper for the invitations (he’s good with measuring & I told him can use my paper cutter just this once) and I’m currently cutting wire & stringing pearls/crystals at night … I can do about 50 -100 in an hour or so while watching tv after work.

@globalmargaret:  “the scary closet” made me laugh so hard. i think every house has one of those.

I keep it all in my craft room. So far it is well contained…but I’m almost 1.5 months out and the pile is growing at a rapid rate. This weekend I am going to go get a rubbermaid box to start storing the things that go to the venue in, so all we have to do the day before is pick up that box and go!

Right now I just have a Tupperware container. A big one. I can’t just leave these things out because my kitten would have an amazing time destroying it! And as much as I love him… No.

All the unfinished projects get stashed in my coat closet. I’ve been lucky enough to have my Future Mother-In-Law allow me to store finished stuff at her house. Only little things have been completed so far, so we’ll see what she thinks once I get all my centerpieces done and whatnot!
