I take mine off while showering and sleeping, as well as when I am cooking/baking something messy, working out, or swimming

I take mine off often after coming home.  I don’t wear it to bed, while doing any cleaning, or anything esle that could cause wear, and I don’t wear it while taking a shower.  When i’m cozy at home, my DH knows I love him, and am commited to him, and I don’t need to wear my ring to show him that.

I always wear it unless I’m in the shower, putting on lotion, or doing anything that would damage/get it dirty.

At the gym/sleeping I put my engagement ring on my other hand so it doesn’t rub on my band

If I’m cooking something messy that involve squishing food I’ll take them off

If I moisturise at home I’ll take them off and put them straight back home

That’s about all though

I don’t wear my e-ring at work. I wear a smaller, 1 carat stand-in ring instead since I am in and out of glovees all day. I also take it off when I’m just hanging out at home. I wear it at the gym, on dates with my fiance, when we go out, or see friends and family. My fiance doesn’t wear hers at home either. I guess we just don’t see the point. Who are we trying to signal too that we are taken, each other?

I don’t wear any of my rings if I’m rock climbing, horseback riding, changing the oil in my car, or during any activity where I think degloving could occur.  Paranoid?  Yes, but I’d rather be safe then sorry.

I take it off to clean, to shower, and to exercise. Sometimes for cooking if my hands are going to get dirty.

My mom was surprised when I told her I take mine off: she wears her wedding band all the time, but my engagement ring is pretty bulky (I mean, bulkier than a wedding band!). I don’t wear it to sleep, shower, nap, cook, doing yard work, or a lot of other things…I have a special little dish I keep it in during those times 🙂

Mine never come off except in situations where I don’t want people to know I’m married (long story, hubby in complete agreement).

I don’t wear it to the beach, in the shower, bed, or when I’m cleaning. I wear it almost everywhere else. Oh and I don’t usually wear it when I get a manicure because I don’t like to get the lotion all over my ring.

If I did play sports, I probably wouldn’t wear it for like playing volleyball or anything that’s really active either.

@jwdesiree:  Showering, swimming, exercising, sleeping… I take it off for washing up and gardening as well.

I wear mine all the time except when coloring my hair (so the ring doesn’t puncture the gloves) and sometimes during sex.

I take my ring off almost as soon as I get home for the night. I workout in the morning so I don’t wear it to the gym, I come home shower/get ready and put it on as my morning routine. It’s almost never on when I’m home though.

I wear mine during the day, and take it off when I sleep, shower, etc. It’s a bit big, so I get worried about it slipping off. I did wear it during anatomy dissection, so I guess I’ll wear it anywhere!

I usually take mine off to shower, and I always take it off when I’m cleaning house, washing dishes, handling messy food like raw meat. I took mine off once to shower and forgot to put it back on before I came to visit my parents last Thanksgiving. My finger felt so naked and ever since then I wear it almost all the time.
