haha. My FH and I used to fight over this issue! I wanted our two dogs on the bed (they’re 12 and 16 pounds), and he was against it… We compromised, and now the 12 pounder sleeps on the bed (she will only touch/bother me), while our 16 pounder is on the floor in his “house” bed.

Our dog USED to sleep in our bed with us. He would get under the covers and sleep at the bottom of the bed, even in the summer (when you would think it would be hot)! But, he started moving around too much, sleeping up by our heads (pulling my hair) and he just sheds too much to sleep in the bed. So, we went out and bought him a comfy new bed and we are trying to get him to sleep on it!

As much as I would like our baby to sleep in bed with us the Fiance says no. 🙁
But she should be happy since I spent $50 on her bed.
She sleeps on the floor, on my side of the bed.
That’s her trying it out at Petsmart 🙂 🙂

Wow, I’m so surprised that you’re all so good with your pets in bed with you at night! I feel kind of guilty now.
As much as I’d love our little Lola (Yorkie/Chihuahua mix) to sleep with us, I had one incident that deterred us from this for life. She’s so small (about six pounds), and one night, I woke up on top of her! It terrified me! She was fine, but she goes in her crate every night now 🙂 We give her a treat once she’s in, so she’s fine.
We also lock out cats out. My mom nicknamed them “drunken sailors” because they’re hyperactive at night and keep us both up by jumping on our heads, eating our hair, knocking everything over. We couldn’t sleep, so we had to shut the door.

We have two cats that are a little over 2. The one we got first is totally momma’s boy and I usually wake up with him wrapped around the back of my head, paws curled around my face. The other cat has recently taking to spooning with my FI

Most of the time our dog sleeps on the blankets on the foot of our bed. At times she sneaks into our bed by morning. Sometimes I’ll wake up with her in the middle of us, but most of the time, she’s curled up in the bottom of our feets. We decided not to put her in the crate at night anymore. She cried so much and so loudly that Fiance couldn’t sleep!!

I don’t feel so bad anymore now that I know so many of you have your pets up on the bed!
We have a little 8 lb dog that takes turns spooning with us (no joke, both my Fiance and I sleep on our sides and he curls up so we’re spooning him) and our larger dog sleeps on the floor.

Our cat sleeps on his blankey at the bottom of our bed. Nice a comfy!
