We us a pack n play with bassinet. It’s in our room. DS is 3 months old but once he’s 5/6 months he’ll be in his crib. He only wakes up once during the night and sometimes not at all so I think we’ll be good to go!

Thanks for all the replies so far! They’ve been quite helpful.
No judgment here. My family is from Pakistan. I asked my cousins this same question and they all said the babies slept in the beds with them. Personally I would be afrad my husband would squoosh the little bub, so we won’t be doing that! lol
Do you remember what the one that rocked on its own was called? That is my one issue with the Rock N’ Play. I would love the option of not having to rock it myself(first world problems, I know lol)

Dear Daughter slept beside our bed in her bassinet for the first two months. Then she was too big and spent two months in her pack n’ play, then moved to her crib in the nursery. She was a noisy baby and kept waking us up. She’s always been a great sleeper but got even better in her own room 🙂

Napper portion of the pnp. Then, when she outgrew it she went into the pnp itself (bassinet setting) for a few weeks until we moved her to the crib in her room at 4 months.

not sure when your baby is due but the newest rock n play coming out in 2015 has an auto rock feature.

I love the wipe warmer. It gets really cold here in the winter time and it feels good to have warm wipes in my hands. When I go out I use cold wipes and they are freezing cold. I would not want to use freezing cold wipes on my son when it’s already cold out.

I understand the concept of a wipe warmer, and it does get cold here too. But you don’t warm wipes when you’re out (in the car they’d get the coldest) and I just never found them to be FREEZING, as you’re making it seem. To each their own.

I don’t have kids but my best friend had both her children in a bassinet when they were newborns. It was very mobile which was great. They could have them in the bedroom with them or out with them in the great room. They both transitioned to cribs with no issues.
Personally I’m not a co-sleeping fan. I know of a horrible story from when I worked with the police department and couldn’t chance it. I know that sort of thing is rare but still

My daughter is just one month. We have her in the rock and play next to the bed. It was inexpensive, lightweight and she loves it. We have a crib for when she is a little bigger.

my daughter slept with me for the first 6 months of her life, and no, i dont regret it. She felt safe and we bonded, and it made feedings much easier.

My son would only sleep in his cradle swing…LOL…

We shared a bed until she was a month old (and when I stopped breastfeeding due to allergies). After that we put her in the Rock ‘n Play in our room (which we LOVE) and she’s still there at 3.5 months.

Our 1 month old daughter sleeps in her crib in the nursery. We have a pack n play in our room but she’s never slept in it. When we brought her home, she did well in her crib so we kept going with that. I try to lay her down in the pack n play for naps but she’s just not into it. Hopefully the pack n play will come in handy when she’s older.
