We’ve gone to Ocean City, Maryland 6 times since we met a year and a half ago. Weve spent a lot of time there tehe.
We went to Washington, DC for 3 days to visit his dad and once for a rave.
We have gone to Philadelphia 3 times.
We went to New York City.
We went to Centralia, Pennsylvania twice for my birthday.
Weve been to Baltimore for Valentines day and once for a rave.
None of these are too far but I refuse to ever ever step foot on a plane… NYC and OCMD are the furthest at 4 hours each.
…and were going to Florida and the Bahamas for our honeymoon in June (on a cruise).

September 2006: one week in Puerto Banus in Spain
July 2007: 2 weeks in Bodrum, Turkey
June 2008: 2 weeks at the Gran Bahia Principe in Punta Cana
June 2009: 2 weeks at the Excellence Riviera in Mexico
June 2010: 2 weeks at the Valentin Imperial Maya, Mexico
Feb 2011: 3 nights in the Costa del Sol, Spain
June 2011: 2 weeks at the Royal Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Next year we’re planning another short break, and are also headed back to Punta Cana. We would travel more (I go away on average 3 times a year) but he gets much less annual leave than I do (I get 6 weeks to take at any time bar Christmas; he gets 20 days, 5 of which have to be taken at Christmas. A long-haul trip uses about 13 days leave due to flights, which leaves him only 2 days 🙁 )
We love our holidays though; it’s nice to just get away and relax in luxury for a couple of weeks. We book up to a year in advance and the anticipation is great 🙂

We’ve been to:
- Walt Disney World
- Albuquerque for a DMB concert
- Sandusky, OH (Cedar Point)
- Playa del Carmen, Mexico
- St. Lucia
- St. Thomas
- San Juan
- St. Kitts
- St. Maarten
- Las Vegas
Those are all that I can remember for now! As you can see, we’ve visited a lot of the Caribbean islands, and we will be returning to one of our favorites for our honeymoon: St. Lucia. Our top Caribbean island picks are St. Lucia, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten.

We live in FL, so we’ve driven all over to the beaches of course. Three cruises, two to different parts of the Bahamas and one to Puerto Rico/St Thomas/Jamaica. He went to college in CA, so we also spent a lot of time exploring there. We also spent a summer living on an island in NC. We road tripped from CA to FL, road tripped to the NE to ski, visited the Grand Canyon, spent 2 weeks on a yacht on the coast of Italy, a week in Spain, and a week in London.

Actual vacations/trips (i.e. there was no other reason for us to go there besides a trip we planned for the two of us):
Niagara Falls, Canadian side in November 2008
Disney World in November 2010
We’ve also been to Seattle for a wedding, San Antonio 2x, all over the Northeast. We didn’t go on many trips for awhile because when we lived on the East Coast we spent most summer weekends at the Jersey Shore where his parents have a house.

It was probably our least favourite TBH. The rooms were amazing, but we felt the service could have been better, the lack of shade at the pool was crazy, the beach was small and crowded, and the food just OK. We ate at the Italian at the Gran Porto and that was probably one of our better meals. But you can’t beat the location if you want to be right in town: we did like being able to walk to bars, shops etc, and not have to faff about with taxis as we had to on our previous trips.
In short it probably depends on what you’re looking for, but there are much better resorts out there IMPO, and you might find the beach disappointing; the beach at GPR had a lot of sand-bags out front which wasn’t too pretty, and felt hard underfoot.

We’ve been to:
- Orlando (Disney)
- Key West
- Nassau, Bahamas
- West Palm Beach
- New Orleans
- Boston x 2

- NYC (He lived there, and I’ve been a bunch of times, but never together.)
Once he’s out of law school and has a job, we want to do more international travel. He’s been to Paris before, and I’ve been to Austraila, South Africa, and Botswana.

How was Baltimore? It’s one of the 8 places I’m considering moving and by far the most polarizing – seems people either love or hate it.

Nowhere. I am hoping to change that this summer by going on a mini-vacation. Our first real vacation will be going to get married and enjoying our honeymoon in October.

- Wedding: August 2013 - Rosehill Community Center
Oooh, lots of travel. 3 times to Vegas, 1 Caribbean cruise, 1 Mexican cruise, 2 week trip to Brisbane, Portland, OR, a couple day trips, lots of camping (friends’ cabins or in tents)… I think that’s it so far. Those have all been either the two of us or with a couple friends. Next February, though, we’re going to Hawaii with his parents and brother…. Will be interesting to travel with a different family! And we’re itching for another cruise sometime next year.
