Puerto Rico

Just wanted to point out this is not international… unless you are not from the US.

I didn’t read all PPs but if they did that as well they should be aware of this.  As a matter of fact when people plan a Carribean vacation and ask for suggestions I always remind them they don’t need a passport to go to Puerto Rico so its a great choice if you don’t have a lot of time to get one but still want to go to the Carribean.

I’ve only been out of Kentucky (besides going to nearby bordering places) twice. That was to go to Michigan and to Gulf Shores Alabama.

I want to go to Europe. England, Ireland, Germany, Russia. But mostly England. I’ve wanted to go there since I was 5 or so.

@Mrs Christopher:  Omg….I didn’t realize we were in prissy school right now!

Obviously, I wrote down St. Thomas first and then thought of Puerto Rico since they are so close, forgetting that I was under “International”.

Geez! Give me a break!

@mrs.folks:  It was not my intention to offend you just to let you know if you didn’t know since there are so many people who don’t.

I was in a college class where a professor had to explain to the students why Puerto Rican was a separate category on the census and half the class had no idea that it is part of the US.

Also incidents like this http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/15/southern-miss-band-chant-fail-wheres-your-green-card/

happen all the time.  So I’m just doing my part to make sure that people realize that Puerto Rico is actually a part of the US.

I’ve been to every state in the US, many during a crazy college spring break road trip.

Outside the U.S., I’ve been to Canada (Montreal and Quebec); Cabo, Mexico; Jamaica, Costa Rica, Ireland, France, and Italy.

Lots of places I want to see but at the top of my wish list right now are Banff, the Grand Canyon, Puerto Rico, Australia, and Fiji.

I travel a lot but it seems to be to the same places over and over again mostly when visiting family and friends.

Where I’m from:

Born & raised in Augusta, Georgia.

I’ve been to:

Savannah, Georgia (lived here for four years for uni)

Various places in the southern/coastal area

California, parents use to drive there every other summer when I was young. We would visit dad’s side of the family. (so this includes all the states I have to get there from Georgia, lol)

England. Was part of the queen’s parade when I was in High School…for band, hahah.

Philippines visiting my mom’s side of the family for the first time! Mainly stayed in Cebu but travelled to Boracay, Northern Cebu, Davao..

New Zealand to visit my Fiance. This was my DREAM place to visit and I’ve been there twice and will be moving there just a few days after the wedding!

Trip planned for:

Philippines (next december) for the honeymoon 🙂 We’re both half and just looooove it there. We would go this year in December but my family is coming to NZ to visit us and celebrate in our 2nd wedding

Want to go to:

Man, there’s so much I’d love to see. I definitely would like to travel to asian countries near NZ while we’re living there. If we move back to the states, then I’d love to see more of the US.

I’m just up for seeing anything!

@PeachyKiwi:  NZ isn’t really that close to Asia. It’s a 10 hour flight to Vietnam, for example. You’re only like 2-3 hours closer than if you lived in CA! I always thought of it as being closer until I flew from Asia to New Zealand. Nope, it’s a heinous flight from everywhere on Earth except Australia, pretty much, haha. Still love love love New Zealand, though!

@crayfish:  Lol I know that. But it’s closer than where I am right now. My flight to NZ has varied but the worst was 26/28 hours…so anything less than that I can deal with. My flight to the Philippines was probably worse because after crossing the pacific, we had a 10 hour layover in Taipei.

So yes, to me NZ is close to Asia. hahah
