The classifieds here seem to have quite a few pop up every couple months, also check ebay.  I went to a local antique fair this past weekend and saw probably 10-20 mason jars for sale there (usually at $5 a pop though!)…

If you don’t care to have “vintage” you can always go buy some at walmart, they have big cases of them in all different sizes… I might end up doing this for some of the smaller sizes.

We didn’t get vintage ones, so we bought ours at Walmart. You can also usually find them at the grocery store.

I’d watch on craigslist, and scour garage sales this summer. Stores charge soooo much! Or ask around. Seems everyone I know who is over 50 has a few boxes in their basement. Canning used to be so hip! (I think it still is!)

I plan on getting mine from wal-mart and using the glass paint to make them blue. Somebody posted the link to the tutorial a while back…seems easy enough.

honestly? Goodwill. The local one has a whole shelf with them…and they’re .50 cents each!

I would check out yours…maybe you’ll get lucky 🙂

Goodwill or your local grocery store. There’s usually a canning section. I don’t think there is any need to go vintage. A mason jar is a mason jar and you should be able to find them for .50 to $1.

Check goodwill, thrift stores, consignment, peddler’s malls, estate sales, family members, and sometimes ebay has some good deals.

I can sell you mine when I’m done 😉

If you want the colored glass look of old ones without the cost there is a way to do it with new ones and this dye… I had it book marked byt my computer crashed. I bet you could google it. But then you buy the large packs for a few bucks and a few bucks on dye instead of like $5 or so a piece.

Edit: Found it!http://bridalbuzz.blogspot.com/2009/01/glass-jars-turned-vintage.html
