No, I think your experience should be fine @ BB&B depending on your location.  We chose to register mid-week, after work and we were both really tired.  We had two people helping us and it just felt really uncomfortable.  I think the head person was training the new guy that night.  They kept asking cheesy questions to my Fiance and I.  They also tried to push unnneeded items to us from some catalog of bridal stuff they carry.  One major plus was that they brought us a beverage mid-way through when our energy level was really failing.  I honestly think that if we would have gone to register @ BB&B when we weren’t so tired and unenthousiastic the experience would have been better.  By the time we registered at Macy’s we were both enjoying it more b/c we knew what to expect, our consultant didn’t pressure us to register for things we didn’t need, she encouraged us to take a break for lunch and come back to complete the registry and they had bedding and linen items that we liked better than @ BB&B.  We did return to the BB&B after the wedding shower and their customer service was great!

Hope that helps!

I wish I’d thought of BB&B farther ahead of time… right now we’re registered at Crate & Barrel and Target.

We’re registering at Crate & Barrel and BB&B.  CB has lots of the kitchen stuff that I want.  BB&B has everything AND they give you cash back for returns, including full price even when the person that bought it for you used a coupon.

I was also going to register at Macy’s but I have heard lots of awful things about them, one of my friends has made it her life’s mission to keep people away from Macy’s after her horrible experience with them.  They sent her letters saying that things that people had bought her were canceled when they were really just backordered.  Plus they were not helpful with getting things from other stores and don’t have free shipping.

Bloomingdale’s – I cannot say enough about how wonderful the people and service at Bloomie’s is.  EXCEPTIONAL!  And they had a few exclusive items that weren’t anywhere else.

Home Depot – For gift cards only.

C&B – Because some people don’t have bloomie’s near them and/or want to shop in store.  But I think I only found 2 things I wanted from there.

We’re going to do:

Macys – luggage, china, fine glassware

BB&B – nearly everything else

Williams-Sonoma – great bakeware and a few select, unique items
