Having the same conundrum!  I would love to hear what others are doing.  Possibly the Virgin Islands, or Curacao… I’m not sure.

We are from New zealand, and we won’t honeymoon straight after the wedding as too many guests are coming from overseas and we want to see them. But we are planning on a Italy,Greek excursion next year. I travelled a month around Italy but would love for my man to see it. He has an interest in architecture and history.

@gelaine22:  Noted! What time of year did you go? Where did you stay? We’re still working out the details!

@RunnerBride13:  We went in January. We stayed at Coco Beach in Ambergris Caye. It is a beautiful place!

ETA: I wouldnt go back in January. It wasnt very warm and it rained often.

@gelaine22:  We’re looking at October, which should be warm but will rain a lot! I’m looking at the Chaa Creek inland and somewhere in Ambergris Caye. Our travel agent is pushing Ramon’s Village but it doesn’t look that nice, I was looking into The Phoenix, but Coco Beach looks great too and is a little cheaper!! Thanks for the tip 🙂

@RunnerBride13:  one thing about Belize is that the hotels there arent as nice as some of the large resorts in huge tourist destinations. They are a bit smaller, not as upscale, and offer less also. You will still have a great time! Good luck and use Trip Advisor as your best guide (aka my “bible” for travel, haha!)

@gelaine22:  Yes I have! That’s why I was iffy about the one my travel agent recommended. I questioned her on it and she said she’d never had complaints, but I think I’m going to put my foot down about one of these other ones. I’m definitely the type to do my own research, I kind of wish we didn’t have a travel agent now. It was helpful to narrow down where we could go, but now I don’t really need her help anymore haha!
