Not sure the where makes a difference. I think its more important to choose the crib that fits your needs.

I would recommend seeing it in person before buying it or registering it. But once you do you can order it whereever has the best price (and a reputable site/store in case you need to return it for some reason)

Whichever place has the crib you want 🙂 It all depends on what you’re looking for since each store carries a variety of styles. I tend to prefer all wood in a traditional or slightly rustic style so I prefer stores like Pottery Barn. I also prefer convertible cribs but not everyone likes them.

I’d pick the crib you want first, and then buy it wherever it’s available. Don’t limit yourself to one store.

Im going to buy a crib that has been on the market awhile. I may be wrong but I feel like if it’s a proven product there might be less recalls.

A lot of those places sell the same exact cribs and brands, just check reviews and recalls and such before making a decision.

We bought a crib at target. I think it depends on what you’re looking for but Target has some pretty good deals.  We found our crib, a 4 in 1 convertable crib regularly $250, on sale for around $150 and then an additional 20% off coupon.

Lol, way back when…

(Mid 80s first child)

We bought our Nursery Furniture (a whole suite) at an actual Baby Specialty Store… because they didn’t have just run of the mill stuff.  We wanted stuff that would last vs the more inexpensive cheaply made items that were found in stores like KMart, WalMart, BabiesRUs

No Regrets… the furniture was made of hardwoods and held up well.  (It was part of a Juevenile line of furniture from a recognized furniture maker)

In the end ONLY the crib became obsolete (and legally you aren’t supposed to resell / reuse these things anyways… as the Safety Specs change over time).  As the kids grew, we moved them into a Children’s Bed (single bed with drawers underneath) from the same Manufacturer … and it went well with the Dresser and Bureau we had already… the Change Table got repurposed into toy storage shelving unit.  Quality furniture that lasted over 25 years… lol, in the end one of kids took the Dresser & Bureau to their first apartment (they painted them).

So I’d have to say altho the initial outlay was kind of high… the investment was worth it.

Hope this helps,
