rrgdsI’m a bad girl, I ended up ordering this ring. It just hasn’t come yet.

missimagination :  Your set is so pretty and delicate and feminine!!! I wish I could wear pave rings without destroying them.

Mine is sort of a mix between a cluster and a halo.

roseyflowercup :   jgti23 :   blushbliss :  Love your rings ladies! I have a genuine question. I thought your rings were considered halos? Or are they clusters? What’s the difference? I have a halo ring…I think, but maybe it’s actually a cluster and I never knew!

bluecutie00 :  Here is the best explanation:

https://erstwhilejewelry.com/blogs/stories/evolution-of-the-cluster-ring

Modern day cluster rings are far different than what they started from. Old clusters and halos are basically the same style, but typically in older halo or cluster rings you will notice a big size difference in the halo diamonds and shape, as well as the setting itself.

On another note : it comes today! I’ll post when it gets here

bluecutie00 :  I don’t think the two terms are exclusive. I consider my ring a halo and a cluster but in general I would say when the halo stones are on the larger side compared to the centre stone people will refer to it as a cluster.

roseyflowercup :  Ok spill the beans. Where did you get that setting from? Be sure to post a pic when you   actually get it.

Here’s mine! My 0.52 center stone is from the promise ring my Darling Husband gave to me 3 years ago. It’s encompassed in 6 0.27 brilliant diamonds that are set in a dome shape for maximum sparkle!

blushbliss :  I will always say this if I ever see your ring on the boards, I absolute ADORE this ring!! 😭

missimagination :  mine is technically a diamond knot, but I’ve been told it’s a cluster when I’ve posted it on a halo thread, so I’m assuming it applies here
