My e-ring is from Natural Sapphire Company, wedding band from Zales.  Bought his wedding ring at Ben Bridge.

@runsyellowlites: We did something similar for my e-ring, and now we are looking to do the same for my band.

I am buying his band at Tiffanys. I’m okay with the markup for his plain gold band. I want him to be proud of it, and it’s really the only piece of jewelry he will ever wear besides the cross his grandma gave him.

From Bloomies.  Couldn’t find this particular design anywhere else and love it.  We also had it custom made through their jewelers to get bigger stones.  We were also able to haggle it down to 35% off, so I know we got a great deal.  Valued at much, much more.

Mine was my SO’s mom’s, same ring that his dad proposed to his mom with. It came from a local jeweler in Memphis, Tennessee called Mulford’s. SO’s mom said they closed sometime in the 70’s.

My diamond was from GoodOldGold.

The setting is Tacori (purchased through GoodOldGold)

We are most likely having our wedding bands custom made by a local jeweler. But that is still in the works.

From a local jeweler in VA- going local saved Fiance a lot of money and we still got an amazing quality diamond!

Mine is from People’s Jewelers, it’s a mall store, but I (well my bf haha) paid less than half of the original price.  When you realize that you can get it for that much less, you really realize how much they do mark it up in the first place!

My ring is from Tiffany’s.  FI’s new to DC so I’m not sure he knew exactly where to go, but I’m sure he did his research, and he seems happy with his experience and purchase.

My Fiance used GoodOldGold, and custom designed the ring based off of Tiffany’s Legacy setting, which I’ve been in love with for years but forbid him from spending that much. I ended up getting a bigger diamond with the same specs, all for about 30% of the price we were quoted at Tiffany’s. Seriously insane markup!

Small local jeweler that does great work.  He remembered when he bought the diamond and then setting it later…just nice to hear the “history” of my ring.

The center diamond in my engagement ring was a family stone passed down, Fiance went to local jeweler for the setting on a recommendation from his receptionist who’d used them prior- they were excellent and we got an amazing deal 🙂 We looked at wedding bands in a couple of those chain stores as a convenient way to try some on, get sized, ask questions, etc, then ordered online-  mine from Overstock, his from Amazon. I’m thrilled with them & thier prices!

My setting is from Marks&Morgan, my stone is from AshaDiamonds.com, and it was set by a local jeweler – who will also be creating my custom-made wedding band for LITERALLY 1/3 of the price Kay gave us. 🙂 I love that there’s a little bit of everything in my awesome ring. 🙂 haha
