I’m getting married in Gloucester, MA and its $105 pp for the food and hor d’hovres (sorry, I can seriously never spell this word correctly!!)

Hor d’hovres: scallops wrapped in bacon, shrimp cocktail, sponokopita, cheese and crackers, stuffed mushrooms.

Salad – Mixed greens with bread rolls

Entrees: choice of filet mignon or baked stuffed sole, with carrots and asparagus on the side. Coffee and tea for dessert.

SO, the wedding cake and drinks have NOT been included in this price. I thought it was reasonable though, since we’re not paying anything to rent the venue/place.

Tossed salad

Roast Beef

Roasted Turkey carving station

Red Potatos

Green Beans

(Some other side)

It’s priced at $17 per person which also includes our china, silverware and glassware.

We live in St Louis but decided to have the wedding in Springfield, IL (my hometown) to save some money.

We will be having 5 hours of open bar (beer, wine, premium liquor), passed hors d’ouevres at the cocktail hour (4 kinds), and a seated dinner (chicken, potatoes, roasted veggies).  We will have champagne and wine service at the tables too.

The total cost including tax and gratuity is $68 per person.

We live in SoCal and having our wedding in Burbank. It’s costing us roughly $100-105 per person to attend. That’s after tax and gratuity. Bllaaah I hate to even think about it!

@nycbrde2011: Make sure to get on top of the Boathouse right away! I went to look there over a year out and they were already booked EVERY weekend in May! Instead, I’m doing a “ballroom” wedding at the Roosevelt Hotel!

We are still finalizing all of our menu but all I have to say is THANK GOODNESS for a military discount.  Our reception is at the Officer’s Club on Wright Patterson AFB as my dad is retired air force.  We are having a plated dinner with a salad for each guest and a choice of prime rib, chicken, or veggie lasagna plus a full open bar and it’s only $30 per head.  Can’t remember exactly how the charge for all the alcohol but mith “middle shelf liquor” it ended saving us about $2000 from what we budgeted.

We got married in Savannah, GA and spent $125 per person  at the reception venue on food and bev.  That includes a cocktail hour and gratuity for the entire evening.  It does not include entertainment nor flowers though.  We were fearul that we wouldn’t hit our venue’s minimum but our open bar and our friends eliminated that problem.  🙂
