I’m getting married up north in New Hampshire. Our venue is $6000 (for just the rental).

I am getting married in Oldsmar,Florida and our venue was 700 for the ceremony and reception. There wasn’t an option for that on your poll. You can find a venue less than 1000.

We skipped the traditional venue and asked a restaurant to hold our party for us, there is a $3,000 food and drink minimum but there is not a cost for the venue itself.  It is perfect, high ceilings, clean modern decor/loft style, two blocks from the hotel, and in the dead center of downtown.  Plus they created a whole new menu just for us!  I highly suggest that you try finding a restaurant that will dot he same for you, there was no need for us to hire staff, get a bar tender, etc–it was all super easy thank goodness!

We’re chartering a riverboat on the Potomac River here in DC.

The boat “officially” holds up to 200 or so guests for seated dining, but that is spread across two decks; we’re having just under 100 and fit nicely in one deck for dining and the other for dancing/cocktails.

Cost of the charter itself was just under $4000 which includes an hour additional charter over their normal package.  We are also adding a bar package as the venue, not the caterer, holds the liquor license, and it’s roughly $29/person for open premium bar.  We also get their Day Of co-ordinator as part of the charter fee, which is a huge benefit!

VFW-Free because FH’s parents are paying for it, but the rental is $575 (there was no option for less than $1,000), $550 for beer and $125 for wine.

We have a very traditional venue so it’s more expensive but it includes everything (ie- food/alcohol)…it is working out to be about $200 pp.

Our venue rental is $5000 in Pittsburgh – it’s in the museum. Then about $100/person for food/alcohol/cake.

I got married at a hotel in Boston. The ceremony space was $500. The reception space was actually free and the cost came from the meal which was about $100 per person.

our ceremony is in a victorian chapel on the grounds of a hotel ( used to be a diff business) the ceremony space is FREE.

The reception hall we are using is FREE but we have a contract for min of $8,000 in food & drink..we are mostly likely going over that-estimated it will be around $10,000 for the food and venue, not including anything else

We’re getting married in our backyard, so “free” I guess LOL even though we have to pay mortgage…

Mine would have to go under an “other” category: we had ours at a restaurant, that figured the cost of the venue in with the cost of food and drink. Not exactly free, but it’s hard to say what the cost of the venue would be separate from the rest.
