I’m going dress shopping (2nd time) and I’m looking at shops around San Francisco and San Jose area. Where should I go? I’m already planning on going to Jessica McClintock but I’m not sure where else to go. I hope to spend less than $400 on a dress so price range is a consideration when deciding on shops. I’m also considering making my own dress if I can’t find anything I like, so I welcome particularly unique wedding shops that are out of my price range.
So, where should I go?

Is my price range really that crazy? :/

Hi Plumeria! I’m not sure you will like my answer but I bought mine at David’s near Valley Fair. I had another friend who bought hers there as well (for I think something around your budget) and we were both pleased with our dresses!

That’s a fine answer! I should add David’s to my list. I actually went there first trip but with different company. Now I’m brining out the big guns, I’m shopping with mom and dad, so it’s worth a revisit. Thanks for the recommendation.

I am bumping this thread up because I am interested in answers as well. I do not have a set budget but just need dress stores in the area that people recommend. I know there are a few in San Francisco (any reviews from those?) but any near Palo Alto/San Jose area?

@Lizzie1116: Rin’s Bridal-Cupertino, Bo Lee Bridal-Sunnyvale, Trudy’s-Campbell, Elegant Lace-Blossom Hill, San Jose, Bay Area Bridal- Cupertino, Brides of California-Sunnyvale? David’s Bridal-near Valley Fair and one on Mccarthy Ranch, A bridal store I’m not sure the store name but its dowtown san jose on north first street. Clearly, I have gone to many places.
