We had all Western Caribbean stops on our cruise – The only place that had “bad” weather was Roatan (off of Honduras). It was pouring when we got there… But after like an hour or two, it cleared up, becoming a beautiful day, and we continued with our plans. So, really, the weather was great everywhere!

Food is very cheap (outside of 5* hotels) and seriously excellent. My husband was really wary about going, but has come home talking about WHEN we go back (as well as planning to buy a tuk tuk).

I just got back from Kauai and the Big Island. Kauai is beautiful, but if you want to snorkel, it may not be he best place. The entire time we were there, the waves were too rough to snorkel, kayak or swim. That is not unusual for Kauai as it is the western most island so the ocean hits it hard. It also rains there, a lot. The Big Island, on the other hand, had fantastic snorkeling. We snorkeled with dolphins one day, completely by accident. On another we went with a group to snorkel with huge manta rays at night. They were so close they touched us. It was the coolest thing I have ever done, and I have done some cool things. I cannot say enough about the Big Island. Also, if you like to snorkel, Belize has some of he best snorkeling in the world as there is a great reef off the coast. In Belize we stayed at a lovely little hotel there called the Inn at Robert’s Grove which I have seen several times rated as one of the most economical romantic places to stay. We had our own hut with a big porch and a hot tub right on the ocean. It was gorgeous, and we took tours with them through the rainforest and snorkeling. Happy honeymooning!

We have had family go to Turks and Caicos several times and RAVED about it. We’ve been to the BVI/USVI several times and I love Jost Van Dyke and St. John. I voted T&C, though!

I really wanted to honeymoon in Turks & Caicos, but we couldn’t find an all inclusive resort in our budget. So now we will be honeymooning at the Aura Grand Resort in Cozumel! ๐ (hurricanes stay away!)
