http://www.gloryshouse.com is where most of the Etsy sellers buy their appliques. I just bought my mom’s from there 🙂

Are you anywhere near NYC? M&J Trimming is THE place to go! If not, they do have a website: http://www.mjtrim.com/

I fell in love with a $700 belt at a bridal salon and DID NOT want to pay that much. So I went to M&J to browse a few times, with the intent of eventually making my own. But life got in the way, and I was just too busy. So I had a seller on Etsy custom make one for me (I think I paid $250). I just picked someone who seemed to have the same design aesthetic as what I was looking for, and she did a phenomenal job. My belt was probably my favorite part of my entire wedding day look!

@Preppy_Bee:  I’m having the seamstress sew it directly onto my mom’s dress. It honestly shouldn’t cost that much to have that done

@Preppy_Bee:  I think you could just sew it on directly, with thread in the same shade as your dress/the backing of the applique, or even with the see-through thread (it’s kind of like very thin fishing wire).

i bought a custom sash from etsy store: Something Ivory.  It was a beutiful sash,  the only thing I didn’t like was how the satin looked tied behind my gown.  So my seamstress ended up cutting the satin and sewing the sash into my gown.  these pics don’t do it justice to how sparkly it really was.  but i looovvvved  how it turned out. i paid $300 for this one, but she has one similar to it on her site that’s only about $100. plus lots of other options.  good luck!!!
