i personally didn’t buy one because i was worried that it would cause more anxiety. My OB couldn’t even pick his heart up until my 19 week appt. my uterus is tilted back so it took longer. But many of my friends use the one in the link.

Yeah if you have an anterior placenta or tilted uterus, it may just cause more stress because it can be harder to pick the heartbeat up. I didn’t buy/rent one, but I know people who rented/bought from http://www.storkradio.com/

I rented a really nice one from tummyticklesdistribution.com. I only use it once a week so I don’t bug baby too often — Darling Husband and I usually do it Sunday mornings. I got the one I did because a lot of people are able to hear baby as early as 8 weeks with it. But of course, I wasn’t one of those people and it took until nearly 10 weeks before I found the heartbeat. I plan to return it as soon as I start to feel baby move. all in all, I’m not sure it was worth it for me to rent the really expensive one versus buying a cheaper one, since it didn’t turn out that I was able to hear baby at 8 weeks after all … but I’ll probably do it again with future pregnancies anyway, since really, $40 a month for 3-4 months isn’t a big deal!

I got mine from Ebay. Best thing I ever purchased. I paid $50 with free shipping. it came with U/S instructions and U/S gel.

I def reccommend watching as many youtube videos as you can BEFORE you use it. Have a full bladder and use lots of gel. Mine didnt come with alot, so i just went out and bout aloe vera gel and that works just fine. I found baby at 9 weeks 2 days… I am 10 weeks 2 days today and now I know where he/she usually hangs out so it is much easier for me to find.

The first time i used mine it took me 2 hours to find the baby and I only heard it for a few seconds because baby was moving so much. It was the best thing i ever got though. It def helps with reassuring me.

Please feel free to PM if you have more questions.
