i would talk to your stylist about where to get it, but make sure it is 100% human hair or it will look fake. with the human hair, you can wash, dry, color, and style it in all ways.

I asked my stylist where to go and she sent me to this crazy part of Chicago that had about 10 wig shops all in a row. It was pretty ghetto but the staff were awesomely helpful and they helped me pick out the perfect color and length. I got 2 packages of human hair for about $20. I’m sure NYC has a similar district.

Go to Beauty35 on the corner of 35th and 8th in Manhattan. You have to look hard for the door because there is scaffolding on the building so the sign is small. It is ridiculously huge and they have every type of hair product/beauty supply you can imagine under the sun. Stick with human hair like someone above mentioned. Talk to the people behind the counter about what you want, they are pretty helpful.
