I’ve seen some people on these boards mention invitation kits they have bought where the cardboard is pre-cut and the rest is DIY. I hope you know what i mean! I don’t want to order invitations through a company as they are too expensive and i like the idea of doing them myself but not entirely from scratch. Can anyone recommend any places that are good in Sydney? Im sure there are bound to be many online stores but i would like to see the colour of the cardboard before i buy it.

Here in the U.S., craft stores like Michael’s sell invitation kits. Do you know of any craft stores in Sydney? It looks like Lincraft sells invitation kits: http://lincraft.cart.net.au/index.php
And so does Eckersleys:
The other option is, you could buy a design online, go to the craft store to pick out your own paper, in the cardstock size you need (e.g. 5×7), and print the invites at home. I had been thinking about doing that, and I stumbled across Yellow Brick Graphics (http://www.etsy.com/shop/YellowBrickGraphics?ref=seller_info). I just pulled up the bookmarked Etsy shop for them and they have 25% off everything right now, which is a great deal.
