Hey everyone,
We’re finally looking for rings! WOO!
I am hoping you have suggestions on where I can look for either loose blue sapphires or sapphire rings.
We are looking for natural stones, not lab/man-made stones and I am open to vintage or brand new.
I am already aware of the natural sapphire company but I am hoping there are other options where I can choose the sapphire.
If it helps, I am in Canada.

Gemfix has amazing sapphires in every color imaginable. If you don’t see what you want, contact the owner as he frequently cuts new stones.

I would suggest this vendor list on Pricescope as a good place to start: http://www.pricescope.com/forum/colored-stones/list-of-vendors-for-reference-t208782.html
I bought a sapphire from Jeffery Davies a couple months ago and am really happy with it. A good gem cutter should have a no-questions-asked return policy to cover you if you’re dissatisfied 🙂

Seconding the vendor list on Pricescope. My fiancé purchased my Montana sapphire from Steve Wallner/Westview Gems, who is one of their recommended vendors. I couldn’t be happier with my stone. Happy hunting!!

I also suggest the vendor list on pricescope in the colored stone forum. I commisioned a gorgeous sapphire from Jeff White (JL White Fine Gemstones) that I adore, so I can recommend him. You should post your question in the CS forum over there too. There are some very helpful people that know where to find the good stuff! Also, The natural sapphire company tends to be way over priced and are not always the best cut, imo.
