Hello ladies, I need some help. I finally picked out my dress, and am trying to match my 2 flowers girls. One is 8, so I’m going to dress her in a dress that is similar to mine, and the other is 2, and hers will be similar as well, but more flower girlish.
My problem is the 8 year old really wants a train, just a little one. Where can I find miniature brides dresses that have a little train, or even just the dresses??? I have searched the internet, and had no luck. Here is my dress: http://www.victoriascollection.com/product2.asp?sku=371144&no=3
I’d like her dress to be similar, not the design, but maybe a pick-up bottom, and a couple of rhinestones. Oh yea, almost forgot, my dress is white, not red like the picture shows!!!

I have no idea where you could buy a little girls’ dress with a train (sorry) but it is quite simple to add a train to any long dress pattern. I would go down to the fabric store and look through the pattern books until you find something enough like your dress to make you happy, and then ask them at the fabric store to recommend a seamstress. Just get in touch with her, show her the pattern you want, work with her to pick out some fabric (or give her a swatch from your dress so she can get something in the same shade of white – because there are a lot of different shades of white!) and you’ll be set.
You could also buy the dress you were already thinking about and have a seamstress add a detachable train, but I think I would just go for having the entire dress made. That way you’re sure all the fabric matches.

I got my dress from David’s Bridal and they have alot of dresses that looked like mini bride dresses. I only saw one with a train but, I am wondering if the pictures had the dresses altered to fit the girls in them. If that is the case then you can always have it altered differently. Hope this helps!!
