Etsy and eBay are both pretty popular, and I’ve gotten some nice stuff off Amazon before!

There is tons of jewellery on-line.

Altho, I personally prefer to buy most of my Jewellery in person (lots of great sources… including the Sale Rack at the Mall at my favourite Deparement Store)

When it comes to “Fine Jewellery”… I personally shop the chain Jewellery Stores mostly on-line case they have great sales regularly, and purchases are backed by their reputation / warranties (and I put them on my Credit Card, which also offers added protection)

I also browse the Home Party Jewellery Sites on-line (I’d say 99% of my purchases are not fine Jewellery)… and if I see something I like, depending on the site I either order it direct… or I call up my local Rep

I’ve only recently gotten into Etsy… so my purchases from there or from private Artisans, is still the smallest portion of my buys.

@eclipse:  gemvera.com isn’t cheap, but pretty much everything on the site is very droolworthy and you can customize the heck out of everything.
