I ordered an album through my photographer, as well as additional albums online.  I did alot of research and ended up going with BlacK River Imaging for more professional, flush-mount albums and MyPublisher for a less formal album.  I should be receiving both in the next few days.

We got an album from our photographer and I ordered 2 albums from Adoramapix for our parents.  Was very happy with the quality of the albums from Adoramapix.  Everyone that see’s them ask where I ordered them from and how professional looking and good quality they are.  I bought them while they were having a sale going on for photo-books, so they were close to half price.

I just ordered prints from Adoramapix for us and for our families.  Hoping they’re just as good…

@jpalm13:  Yeah, the price isn’t the worst out there.  For a 10X12 photobook with the max amount of pages and a hardcover, it was $215 plus shipping.  That was without the discount.

The format is pretty easy to get around too.  What I liked most about it was that I could resize the pictures, place them anywhere I wanted without having to use a template, and it didn’t affect the quality of the pictures at all (as in, they didn’t get all pixely).

If you are doing your own, Black River Imaging is a good compromise of price and above-normal quality for an album that a non-photographer can buy!

An album was included in our contract so we will be getting one from our photographer. However, I just made one using Shutterfly and I’m excited about how it looks (on screen) we will see when it finally arrives.

@jpalm13:  I put together a wedding album for us and both sets of parents using Adoramapix. The quality was good for the price, the site was very user friendly and had a lot of layout options. They were running a promotion at the time, so I think I got 30% off our album and 50% both parent albums.

We’re doing our main album through our photographer.. but I want to order some additional albums for family members. I’ll have to check out the ones mentioned in this thread!

Shutterfly albums look really nice, but they’re a little expensive. Costco does them too, but they’re not as elegant; but they’re nice enough.

Interested in suggestions too…other threads like this have suggested photo book Canada, my publisher, and adiramapix
