@cmbr:  The lingerie department at Nordstrom is always really good. Or if your Nordstrom has a bridal section they also have lingerie there and they may be able to advise you too.

I’ve tried Nordstrom to no avail (but it’s a small lingere department in the one closest to me) and Macy’s. I found that Macy’s carried a lot more options and different brands of shapewear compared to other shops I tried. I think a ton of people end up ordering things online from places like Zappos to try stuff on in the privacy of their own homes though. Good luck!

@cmbr:  I bought 4 different bustiers from BareNecessities.com and will just return 3. I live in Canada so I’m not sure about shipping times for you, but I really like them!

@cmbr:  Where do you live? Any upscale lingerie place that carries Dominique and Va Bien and can fit you correctly would be ideal.

F that noise about lingere. Seriously, it doesn’t work under most dresses. I don’t care how thin you are, Spanx is the business under wedding and BM dresses.
