Hmmm, I’m not sure on the size issue but I’d definitely suggest heading over to NJ (no sales tax on wedding dresses).  I got mine at Exquisite Bride in Princeton and they were fantastic, you could call to see what sample sizes they carry…I know the samples that I tried on there were some 10s and some 12s so while you might be a 12/14/16 (depending on designer) there, the samples wouldn’t likely be too far off.

I got mine at Irmas in Marlton, its really nice and they have a huge selection. Stay away from Lilys in Sewell, the women who own the shop are a**holes. The Bridal Garden in Marlton is also really nice

I ultimately got my dress from Exquisite Bride in Milburn, NJ but La Bella Moda in Conschohocken was pretty good. The owner is a little rude but the girl i worked with was very helpful.

The bridal shops can pin you into the dress. Im around the same size and I went to Bijou Bridal in Ardmore. Their service was pretty good (I went on a weekday so maybe less busy).  They had some beautiful dresses.
