We decided to hold off on getting “eloped” until we decide on something! I think we may leave the country or at least the state. Also my dream to go to NYC is finally coming true and we are staying two night’s at the Ritz, maybe then!
The problem is that I still want it (by that I mean getting married) to be special. I really want pictures, some sort of an experience, a cupcake/personal cake, a white dress, and dancing.

I suggest Miami Beach, Florida. It’s a romantic location with a vibrant atmosphere, and a great place to elope! There are all kinds of hotels right on the beach, and plenty of things to do there during your stay.
Plus, it is really easy for out-of-state couples to get married there (no waiting period, no witnesses required, and if you need to, you can get your marriage license by mail before you get there).
We got married on the beach by our hotel with Tropical Miami Beach Weddings (they had an all-inclusive ceremony package – with photos, champagne, bouquet, music, sand ceremony, and marriage license)! We were very happy with their service, and highly recommend them!!

Another vote for Savannah. Incredibly romantic and beautiful.

I vote nyc! we went last august for our first visit. my Fh popped the question on the empire state building! The weather was perfect!!! Shortly before tht we did a cruise around the statue of liberty. There were other boats out, looked like dinner cruises and dancing. Maybe Elope in the city and go on a nice dinner cruise as your private reception!!!

New Orleans. You will have the most incredible food of your life, the weather is gorgeous in the autumn and spring, and the city is one of the most beautiful in the United States. It can be as elegant and glamorous as you want, or as quirky and unique. There are gorgeous bed and breakfasts up in the Garden District, and amazing historic hotels down in the French Quarter, plus the usual nice hotels in the CBD. I would kill to have a wedding cake from Sucré on Magazine St or Le Croissant d’Or on Ursuline.

The San Francisco City Hall is gorgeous for elopements. Great back ground, architecture and makes for amazing photos.

I wanted to suggest Savannah as well! What’s his beef with GA?

We’re eloping on the Central Oregon Coast. We’re from the Portland area so I’m biased anyway, but how can you pass these views up? And it’s way more affordable than Cali or any other Destination Wedding.

If you like the beach then miami is great, for me, I live here and I hate it. I love NYC. Been going there since I was a little girl. I think it’s really about what type of ceremony you want.
Miami is good for the beach.
nyc is great because its NYC 😉
Cali is versatile which you know… You can do the beach, mountains, valleys etc…
you could do it in Europe and double as a honeymoon. Like France, Italy or Spain!
Spain is beautiful and the Canary Islands are wonderful. 🙂
the time of year also helps. Do you want spring flowers? Or autumn leaves? maybe newly fallen snow (noe of which you’ll get in miami)

We are going to NYC
It was where me and FH had our first abroad holiday and it is the place I always said jokingly that I would only get married there
Plus well it’s NYC
