So the Mr. and I are lucky enough to have a family member that is a professional film editor. As a wedding gift, he’s offered to edit our wedding video for us if we can find someone to shoot the video for us.
We’ve debated putting a camera on a tripod, but would kind of like to have more than just one angle. So we contacted some videographers in the area to just shoot raw footage-and were quoted prices in the 800-1200 range. Which is still more than we’d like to pay.
So does anyone have any ideas? We’ve thought about going to craigslist, but aren’t sure about that process either.

I just messaged you with contact info for our videographer. He’s just shooting raw footage–no editing.

For anyone on a budget, try film schools. I have a friend that met a film teacher and he allowed his students to do it as a project. So she got the work for free.
