Hi Bees! My sister and her boyfriend are looking to get engaged!!! She is looking for something I have never seen though so I am hoping someone can tell me where to look. She wants an engagement ring that has a full band of diamonds like an eternity ring. So basically a combination of a solitaire diamond with the eternity band. We have been playing around looking at online jewelry sites but haven’t found this anywhere, James Allen has the closest ring with a band of diamonds about 70% of the ring. Has anyone seen what She is actually looking for? (I pasted the image of the closest one we found below)

I don’t think that’s a particularly uncommon one, I’ve seen variations of that at almost every jeweler I’ve visited! Has she looked around at store in person? It’s actually probably my favorite, though DH was very set on a simple solitaire. If you google either “pave solitaire engagement ring” or “diamond band engagement ring” a ton come up.

I’ve never seen a solitaire on a full eternity band. She might have to go the custom route if that’s what she wants. Why does she want a full eternity for a ring with a stone in the middle? She won’t ever be able to have it resized.

I agree with PP and go for a half or 3/4 eternity band for the engagement ring specifically because of needing to resize it in the future. She can get a full eternity band as her wedding band (that’s what I did) and I got it a little bigger since my engagement ring keeps it secure but it gives me some room to grow.

The reason pave or diamond bands are 1/2 or 3/4s is practicality. The full diamond band is uncomfortable to wear and cannot be re-sized, the chances of your sister’s ring finger staying the exact same for life are slim to none.

I don’t think she must have a pave setting for the eternity band. That just happened to be the closest thing we found so far. Thy haven’t actually looked in any stores yet just getting ideas online so far. As to why she wants the full eternity I think she thinks it looks nice. I also think she wants a matching eternity band as her wedding band. I think her concern with an eternity wedding band and a part eternity engagement ring is that they don’t really match so it will look weird…
as for not being able to resize that could be a concern. I know you can always add something inside to make it smaller but not always something to make the ring bigger.

Try the Harry Winston Attraction ring and Tiffany Etoile series ring.
