Zales? I know some people on here have had trouble with them but they were amazing with my rings. Check your local flea market type places as well.


Oh! Gem shows! Don’t know why I didn’t put that first! My friend got a 2ct equivalent tanzenite ring for her ering. She saw papers, looked at it, looked at handmade settings right there, and had it set and on her finger before she left for less than $130. Plus she supported an artisan who makes jewelry for the love of it.

I got a lovely morganite and rose gold from Amazon — I ended up returning it for other reasons, but was completely satisfied with the quality. They sell rose gold over silver rings for less than $100, and 10k rose gold rings start at about $190.


Good return policy, too.

@megshoffman:  if you’re willing to go for silver on the promise ring, and wait for rose gold morganite dream ring for the engagement, you’ll have a lot more selection.
