My bridesmaids all just found their own dresses. I would give them a color to shoot for and let them look on their own.

I just gave my girls a color swatch as well.  They both bought there dresses at retail and department stores.  I did tell them to ‘okay’ it with me before/while/right after buying it to make sure that they weren’t completely differerent.  Other girls here also find a designer and hae their girls pick a dress from that designer’s collection.

Yeah I’d look at Macy’s or another dept store. That will be much cheaper than a bridal store because they’re not marketed as bridal. However, I went with Davids Bridal because I wanted them to get the exact same color.

2 of my BMs bought theirs from Forever 21. If we had an H&M here they’d probably shop there 🙂

I like Modcloth and I’ve ordered several of their dresses for other things, but they tend to run short! I’m not all that tall – 5’8 – but I wouldn’t wear any of my Modcloth dresses to a wedding because they’re too short on me. But I’m pretty sure they have good return policies so if the dresses turned out too short your BMs could always return them!
