I’m ALL ABOUT j.crew. we are using those dresses for our wedding next month–the ladies could choose any silk chiffon dress in sweet thistle. each dress was at least 25% off and some girls got up to 50% off the dresses by waiting for a sale.

I second J.Crew!  David’s Bridal also has the same thing (and Alfred Angelo I think).

David’s Bridal is a lot more affordable than J. Crew, unless you hit J. Crew when they are having a sweet sale! Both of them have really cute options; we went with J. Crew because they were having a really good deal when we purchased our dresses.

@brideatbeach: My sisters just purchased their JCrew last night. I love love love their silk tricotine and it was on sale with an extra 40% off so it went from over $200 to about $69.99. Score!!

Basically any Bridesmaid or Best Man dress brand/designer gives you the abilty to buy a ton of different designs each in the same color.  Scout out the different designers’ websites (David’s Bridal, Alfred Angelo, Dessy, Bari Jay, Jim Hjelm, etc) and find one who has designs you like in a budget you like and go with it!

ETA: My girls all wore dresses from the Dessy After Six line although we didn’t do mix and match (we easily could have though if that was the look I’d wanted).

@bRooklynRocks: What a steal! Congrats! Yeah, we got the cotton cady Madeleine, which is normally about $200, for $40 apiece. And we qualified for free shipping when we ordered them all together!! 🙂

I went with David’s Bridal so that each of my maids could try on their dresses before deciding on which style to go with. I was completely happy with their selection!
