So Im looking to buy metric crap ton of fabric for our wedding. I didn’t think so at first, but it all adds up. I’m looking for gauze table runners and chiffon chair sashes, as well as some long runs of chiffon to drape across arbors and between some beams in out barn venue, etc. I’ve been looking on Etsy but it’s the same price or more as my local fabric store. Does anyone know a good wholesaler, or a good website that you worked with? I also just learned this afternoon that the edges need to be cut off the chiffon since the raw edges don’t look great, and it comes very wide so I’d need to cut it in half length wise. Help! I’m feeling really overwhelmed, suddenly this seems too physically impossible to cut it all myself and/or too expensive! All advice welcome. Thank you!

absinthevintage : First, check your local Facebook Marketplace and Bride to Bride and wedding Facebook groups. This stuff is listed all the time as its not the type of item many people choose to keep.
For the chair sashes, check the wedding linen suppliers: CV linens; Linentablecloth.com; Tableclothsfactory.com, Efavormart. They all sell them and they are very inexpensive.

Check out shindigz.com. They specialize in proms, but they have tons of decor fabrics in large quantity at fairly reasonable costs. I have purchased satin, their blue metallic and their chiffon for different events. All good quality and quick.

Maybe you can find a place to rent the fabric stuff from? I don’t know any place but there’s gotta be one that exsists for this type of thing cause your deff not the only one who wants it.

I actually checked out thrift stores and found what I needed.
