If you’re looking for inexpensive, I’d suggest contacting a graphic design student who would be willing to do some freelance work to expand their portfolio.

@BeSeeingYou: Awesome idea!  Our best man’s girlfriend is a graphic design student, and she designed our entire invitation suite and monogram as a wedding present.  And then let me use her professional-grade printer to print them (for only the cost of ink)!  It was pretty awesome.

You can also try messing around with WordArt – if you’re looking for something simple, it gets the job done.

I would say contact the graphic design program at universities in your area.  I’m not in graphic design but I know my major program has an email listserv and they would send out emails about job opportunities, internships, etc, so they would probably be willing to at least send out an email to their students and then hopefully a few of them would contact you.
