After spending months looking online and in shops for the perfect wedding dress, I’ve finally (5 months before the wedding so it’s about time!) decided on the style of dress I am after:
The problem: They are from Elie Saab and would obviously cost a lot…
So, I have read quite a lot online about replica dresses and this is my question:
Which Chinese company would make me a decent replica dress of one of the above?
And would you recomment Jeff Liu / Dressilyme / Someone else?
Thanks a lot!

Jasmine Bridals. They seem to do excellent work. Go for the upgrade

I didn’t buy a replica, but spent plenty of time researching when I thought I would. I would look into these companies, they have great feedback:

I just saw some gorgeous pictures of a Lazaro replica done from Jasmine’s Bridals. It actually made me have a tinge of dress regret!

Jasmine Bridals, for sure. I didn’t do the upgrade and am happy with my dress. Check out their Facebook page for pictures. Customer service was impeccable.
Here’s the link to pictures of my dress:

I posted in another replica thread as well, but am very passionate about this issue.
The replica dresses are cheaper, because they did not need to go through the process of designing the dress, making prototypes, shopping for the right fabric, the trials and errors of getting things just they way they envision it. All of this has value.
The original designer of the dress deserves to profit from the work that went into coming up with the design. As a designer in a totally different field, who has had my designs ripped off, this bothers the hell out of me, and I wish people would stop undercutting the designers.
Buying replica dresses is only perpetuating the problem, as designers now must charge more for the originals as they are losing sales to the knock-offs and it makes the dresses more out of reach for the budget brides, driving them to replicas. Please think of this before feeding into this viscious cycle!!!!!

I agree with@rachgirl82.
I don’t like Jeff Liu because he completely screwed me and the dress was completely unusable. It was the most horrid thing I have ever seen in my life.
It looked like sheer cardboard.
You can always skim my profile for that review and look at the pics in the end.
Dressilyme did an excellent job for me and you can look for those 2 reviews as well.
As far as others. The ones that Rachgirl82 said are excellent and I think they are the most consistent.
Good luck with your choice.

Don’t try Milly or Landy or Jeffliu. I use to think that Milly was really good but they have gotten a lot of bad reviews recently as have Landy. I got my dress from Shdes of Pale Bridal http://www.facebook.com/pages/Shades-of-Pale-Bridal-The-Little-Velvet-Box/196879553692866 but I also liked duosheng http://duosheng.cn/ both of them show pictures of the dresses that they make.

I didn’t know that about Milly! Thanks for the heads up.
Definetly don’t do Jeff Liu. Nightmare waiting to happen.
I am interested in seeing more from Shades of pale and duosheng. So far I know duosheng is doing well with customers.
Thanks for the variety!

@adw2c: Google Milly reviews and you will find the bad ones, and Landy is worse. It wouldn’t be so bad if they weren’t so expensive but some of their dresses are in the $800 range now! And I saw a review that said she received the dress and it had a shoe print on it and was long enough for an NBA player lol. If I were going to suggest another company that I hadn’t suggested before it would be either Dressilyme or Jasmine’s haven’t seen any bad reviews on either of them at all and I saw a dressilyme review that said she got a dress for a TTD session and afterwords had the dress drycleaned and it was in perfect condition. Now thats a well made dress.

Well then I wil scratch Millys off my list. I only can recommend what I have really used anyways. I can only suggest Dressilyme from personal experience and I am glad to know they still have a good reputation.
I am also happy to hear about Shades of Pale. Good to have more beautiful gown options.

@adw2c: Did you see the Milly and Landy reviews. Both of those sellers use to be a really safe bet but now…. maybe one of both of them has started using a different factory that is not as good.

Just to update you on the issue, I have bought my dress from Jeff Liu and have been really impressed by the result.
We emailed a lot before I ordered the dress and he kept me updated while the dress was being made. He then sent me pictures before shipping it and then posted it to me. The dress needs to be altered (which I was expecting mainly because my fiance took the measurements :-)) but the quality is great.
@adw2c I understand you had bad experiences with Jeff Liu but posting about it EVERYWHERE on the site makes you look very very reliable. It is pretty obvious to me (and others who have commented on your other posts) that you work for Dressilyme and this is one of the reason why I didn’t order from your company.
So in the end, I would recommend Jeff Liu, though this is just my experience and when you order a dress from China you obviously have to be aware of the risks.
