David’s Bridal or look for a bridesmaid dress that you can order in white.

You could go to a bridal consignment store. Most of the dresses at my local ones are samples, and not secondhand. Or David’s Bridal. If you’re willing to buy online you could try either Etsy for new, or http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com for used

Are the dresses on the David’s Bridal site all that they have in stock, or do they have more in the stores?

David’s bridal or pre-owned.  Also check out etsy, Amazon, ebay, and look around to see if any local shops are going out of business or having sample sales.

ladybee64 :  Pretty much what they have online is what they have in store.   They might have a discontinued dress or two but I wouldn’t count on much more than that.

Seconding Modcloth– I’ve found that they tend to have better service and quality than David’s.

Does it need to look like the stereotypical bridal gown? I got a white swing dress from unique vintage (online), which cost 120 once I’d bought a crinoline too.  There was another cute one on Tatyana but I got that style other color for the bridal party instead.  Two years ago but they always have something good on U-V

Are you looking for traditional wedding dress? I would say consignment shop or like other people have stated a bridesmaid dress in white iam having a non-tradition wedding. And found a beautiful/stylish white dress at JC Pennys for under $100

I agree with PPs. I got a sample dress on Tradesy for only $200! Definitely check there and other similar websites (like OnceWed and PreOwnedWeddingDresses). Good luck!
