i am finally looking to order a runner for my wedding..i just want something plain, no lace, no pattern…but i was wondering where to start looking in the area nad what type of material is the best to use for something like this…
if anyone has any suggestions for rental places that’d be great. or if anyone is selling theirs that’d be even better…

I’m looking for something good as well and honestly the best resource I have found would be ebay. As I’m typing this there is an ad on the side listing a whole bunch of options.

i don’t know of a used aisle runner since they tend to get dirty and get discarded right after. If you want an affordable cheap one check out this website:http://www.save-on-crafts.com/aislerunners1.html
but if you’re looking for an aisle runner that is silkscreen or personalized there is this company:
http://www.originalrunners.com/ but of course they’re pricy.

thanks for the post – we may be in the market for an aisle runner for our outdoor wedding. 🙂

that makes sense about the used runner…
so i’ve checked ebay and save on crafts but i’m not sure about the material…either way we just want something plain white with no lace or pattern which is harder to find than i had originally thought…this may also be b/c we don’t want something that’s plasticy…
here is what i’ve found:
save on crafts
i was hoping to not have a runner but we’re getting married on a cement patio and the coordinator there said that we definitely need to have one…i’m going to write her to find out if she recommends it b/c of aesthetics or some other reason…

just an FYI for bay area brides. if you’re in the pleasanton/dublin/san ramon area you may want to check out pleasanton rentals. our venue coordinator suggested them and its $50 for a rental…that seems high but its actual carpet that you can get in either red or white…it sounds tacky but its a good look…and if your wedding is on saturday you can pick it up friday and return it monday for no charge.

you can get them at walmart or those cheapie party supply stores for like $20. I found a party store that had a long one for $15.
