Online?  Usually if I can’t find something in person, I look online.

I went and looked for bridal lace at some bridal fabric stores, and they didn’t have anything I was looking for either.  It’s tough.

Check with some online dealers even check out etsy maybe. You might have to check a major fashion district however (like Montreal, NYC, LA etc.). This is one of the many many reasons I did not make my own dress, I just couldnt find the perfect fabric.

If you lived in Florida, there’s this amazing fabric store called Rex Fabrics in Coral Gables. I’ve been there twice for dresses – once for my stepbrother’s wedding and I bought champagne colored raw silk and the second time for a black bridesmaids dress and I bought chiffon and lace with a beaded belt. It is AMAZING! I’ve been relegated to the less expensive fabrics becaue of what we could afford but they’re top floor is FULL of bridal fabrics that are sick!! Anyway, I know I’m being kind of a tease but here’s their website and I think you may be able to order online, or at the least, take a look around. Maybe they have locations elsewhere?

Click on Visit Webstore when you go.

@wolfpackforever:  I was gonna say you would need a few years and an absolutely incredible knitter with tons of time on their hands to make that. Im making my lace garter and its tough enough without thinking of thousands of stitches to cast on.

@naturalysam:  Thanks! I don’t even know how we found it because I was only 16 when my stepbrother got married and I just remember walking in and my jaw dropped when I saw how luxurious some of these fabrics were! They also have a huge section of beaded belts and things like that to – such a bridal heaven!

@star_dust:  I use to work in a fabric store and lately in my new town I want to strangle my local store (they dont even trim the fold off the bolt). This place looks like somewhere you can really be taken care of… and max out all your credit cards lol.

Okay I’m officially confused – why are you buying a wedding dress?

Wow, that looks like an inticate design! You are brave to take that on, looks like it will take a while! But, the dress is pretty! Good luck!
