@JacobsMama:  We got ready in our hotel room and my husband got ready at home.  Even if there is snow on the ground people will do everything they can to make it work.  Your girls can hold your dress up and you can wear boots until you get to the ceremony location.

Me, my mom and my attendant got ready at my hotel suite, and my husband and the Bridesmaid or Best Man got ready at the BM’s house.

I texted my husband as we were en route to the ceremony venue so he could go “hide” (he had arrived early and was greeting and visiting with our cermeony guests) and we arrived about 10 minutes before we were scheduled to start. (It was a little late starting because my step-kids were late. No biggie)

My girls and I will get ready at our house, and he will go to his parents’ house with his guys. I would have gone to a hotel but I really wanted my cat to be in some pictures, so getting ready at home it is!

We got a big suite at the hotel for getting ready.  It worked out great.

My fiancé is getting ready at my sister’s house and originally I was going to get ready at my moms house, but I have 5 bridesmaids and a flower girl and her house is smaller, so then I was going to get ready at my great aunts house.  But last Sunday a surprise bridal shower was thrown for my at my great aunts best friend’s house which is a gorgeous huge home.  Reminds me of a house strait from home and garden magazine.  And she asked if I would like to get ready there since my dress will already be there (she had it pressed and stuffed for me) so after talking it over it was the best choice, all the girls can get ready there and it won’t be cramped.

My Fiance will get ready at his house with the guys. I think I am going to look into renting a honeymoon suite for the whole weekend, so I can get ready with my girls there. I also have my condo, which could be an option, but it’s very small and can get kind of hot in the summer, so I don’t think I’ll use it. I don’t want to be sweating before I even get to the ceremony!
