I bought mine locally, so am taking it there for steaming.  Everyone else who needs services are going to my FMIL’s trusted cleaner who has agreed to steam everything.

So, check in with high-end cleaners – they’d probably be the most convenient/do a good job.  Other options may be your alteration person or a local bridal shop, though they may not want to provide service if you didn’t but your gown there. However, you could try calling up a bridal shop and seeing where they would recommend going – they may offer to do it. 🙂

I did a yelp search and Penninou in SF got Terrible ratings.  However, New Parisian Cleaners (also in the general Marina area of SF) got high marks and when I went there, they seemed really nice and very professional.

Maybe try there?

if the dress is not elaborate, you can do it at home (I did,) but if the dress is too complex, where you bought or altered the gown or a dry cleaner would be where to go.
